LAND HO!

LAND HO!

Land Ho! is the cry of the lookout on a ship when a land-mass reveals itself on the horizon... It is a call preceding landing on a shore: the reasons for landing are few and far between: we are looking for refuge or we are hoping to lay claim on the "other". These vary parameters continue to define the reasoning that lead us into war. As artists, we have no serious ambition to eradicate the policies of violence from the human condition. However, we will not be placated with simple admonitions.

Gioj De Marco, Ehren Tool and Sinan Revell are artists are artists that have thought long and hard about the subject of violence and historicism and whose works exude a certian confidence about their positions on the matters.

This exhibit unites their works under a clear desire to denounce the oversimplified view of "right and wrong" and often explores the interstitial spaces in between.

An exhibit curated by Hoojung Lee.
